These lye soap recipes will moisturize, may prevent acne because of the antibacterial properties and some studies have suggested that honey actually works to counteract wrinkles.
You will find below great natural soap recipes using honey.
Note that you can add honey to most your handmade soap recipes. Simply add 1 tablespoon per 454 grams (1 pound) of soap. Remember it will darken the color of your soap.
Decorate your honey soap using bubble wrap after pouring in the mold.
Honey Amber Soap
INGREDIENTS
Fats, oils and butters
- 204 grams olive oil
- 168 grams coconut oil
- 114 grams palm oil
- 84 grams cocoa butter
- 30 grams castor oil
Lye – Water solution
- 86 grams lye (sodium hydroxide)
- 228 grams distilled water
Additive, scent and honey at light trace
- 2 tablespoons of honey.
- optional: 20 to 36 grams of your favorite essential oils or fragrance oils (you will need a little over 30 milliliters bottle the equivalent of about one fluid ounce).A blend of palmarosa, patchouli and orange is great with honey!
This honey soap recipe makes about 2 pounds of soap which will produce about 6-7 bars of natural soap.

- 150 grams coconut oil
- 90 grams olive oil
Lye – Water solution
- 86 grams lye (sodium hydroxide)
- 228 grams distilled water

- 2 tablespoons of honey.
- ½ cup of rolled oats (NOT the instant kind) that have been groundin a coffee grinder, blender or magic bullet.
- optional: 20 to 36 grams of your favorite essential oils or fragrance oils (you will need a little over 30 milliliters bottle the equivalent of about one fluid ounce).
This honey soap recipe makes about 2 pounds of soap which will produce about 6=7 bars of natural soap.

Honey I Spiced the Soap
INGREDIENTS
Fats, oils and butters
- 300 grams olive oil
- 150 grams vegetable shortening
- 150 grams coconut oil
Lye – Water solution
- 84 grams lye (sodium hydroxide)
- 228 grams distilled water
Additive, scent and honey at light trace
- 2 tablespoons of honey.
- optional: 20 to 36 grams of your favorite essential oils or fragrance oils (you will need a little over 30 milliliters bottle the equivalent of about one fluid ounce).Maybe try almond, vanilla, clove and/or cinnamon.
- Color your natural soap with some cocoa if you wish. Start by coloring about 1 or 2 cups of soap mixture then add to the full batch.

Carrot, Honey and Ginger Soap Fragrance Free
INGREDIENTS
Fats, oils and butters
- 180 grams shea butter
- 180 grams palm oil
- 120 grams coconut oil
- 120 grams olive oil
Lye – Chilled Carrot Juice solution
- 82 grams lye (sodium hydroxide)
- 228 grams of chilled carrot puree
Additive and honey at light trace
- 2 tablespoons of honey.
- 2 teaspoon of ground fresh ginger.
This honey soap recipe makes about 2 pounds of soap which will produce about 6-7 bars of natural soap.
Soap making instructions are the same as for the other recipes. Simply replace the distilled water for the chilled carrot juice.
